Doyen Altair is captain of the Astro-seeker starship and leader of the ASTRO S.E.E.K.E.R.S., which is an acronym, that stands for Space Exploration, Environmental Knowledge, & Exoplanetary Research Squad. They explore the galaxy in the pursuit of science and record all their findings to add to the Interstellar Hall of Records back on Phelan.

He is the ship’s pilot and his job is to command the vessel, ensuring safe navigation, maneuvering, and adherence to voyage plans. He Oversees all shipboard operations and also leads, mentors, and manages the crew, fostering a positive and disciplined working environment.

His scientific role is as the main observer who decides if there is a problem or observation that needs further discussion or action.

Doyen Altair is a serious but kind mentor. His color is teal and he has a pet named Draco who is also teal. He is named after white A-type main-sequence star Altair Variable (A) in the Constellation Aquila.
